Western Wayne County Fire Department Mutual Aid Association is a group of suburban Detroit-area Fire Departments focused on the following responsibilities:

1. To render reciprocal aid between the member communities or agencies in fire protection, emergency medical service and other emergency services.
2. To provide professional leadership and training in the fire service.
3. To promote fire prevention, education, and safety in the fire service.
4. To establish and implement cooperative programs and activities in the field of fire protection, fire prevention and emergency medical service that will enhance public safety.
5. To provide a forum for the free exchange of ideas by fire chiefs.
